We are make a lot of great progress on uGet 2.x so we've decided to release a new beta version for those interested in testing it with us. uGet Beta 1.99.4 is easily available for Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu (LTS Only) & Windows users. We also are providing the source tarball if you would like to compile it yourself in whatever distro you use. You will be able to find the Changelog for 1.99.4 after the break...

We are excited to announce the latest platform compatibility for uGet and that is BSD. uGet 1.10.4 (Stable) is now available for BSD with testing on FreeBSD and OpenBSD but should also work on any other BSD system based on either FreeBSD or OpenBSD. BSD brings the total Platform reach of uGet to FOUR! uGet is getting bigger and better all the time. A special thanks to "olivierd" of FreeBSD.org and "bcallah" of OpenBSD.org for the vital contributions in porting uGet to FreeBSD and OpenBSD.
