uGet is looking for Developers PDF Print E-mail

uGet is currently in a difficult situation when it comes to production and development of our project. We are looking to add as many developers even if you can only contribute an hour of work per year, we'll take it! smiley

The founder and only developer of uGet, C.H. Huang, has had to take an unexpected hiatus from the project, he is not leaving the project but is going to be unavailable for some time. So we are looking to find some people willing to fill the void during his absence.

To answer the obvious question of "Why don't you (as in author of this blog post) take over the project?", The reason I don't take over the development portion of the project is because I am not a developer. I am the Web/Graphic Designer as well as Project Manager for uGet but I have almost zero experience with software development. If I could be considered any kind of developer it would be exclusively on the web side of things. I am actually the owner of Visuex.com, which also can't take over as we are a web company.

Important Information:

uGet written in C with GTK+, using cURL and libcurl, there is uglib but it still static library.

Requirements:

We only have one requirement, Open Source Advocate. All development made for uGet will be released under an open source license...so if you are wanting some kind of licensing control, thanks but no thanks.
