Browser Integration with Google Chrome, Chromium and Opera

Postby MichaelTunnell » Thu Jan 31, 2013 2:28 am

This announcement is just to let you all know that I have been working on getting this accomplished for the users who might want this. I'm a Firefox user myself so I was a bit spoiled by FlashGot.

Anyway, I'm not finished with this yet but I will be soon...I finished the Opera integration and I am now working on polishing the Chrome/Chromium integration. (it is working but is a bit clunky right now)

I suspect to have this completed by the end of the week some time so if you are waiting for this feature then you won't have to wait much longer. :)

This extension effort for chrome is in the final stages...finally. :-)

Thanks to Roque Pinel for his vast contribution to this goal.

Unfortunately, not yet. The clipboard monitor works though so that is an option for Chrome users.

Any news on the Chrome integration? Flareget has it working well. It would seem to me to be a priority. Like adding the steering wheel to a car before tuning the engine further.

Hi,
I have developed extensions for Google Chrome, Chromium, Vivaldi and Opera and an additional tool 'uget-chrome-wrapper' to pass the native messages from the browser to uGet. Both extension and uget-chrome-wrapper are free and open source licensed under GPL v3.

How to integrate uGet with these browsers is explained here: https://slgobinath.github.io/uget-chrome-wrapper/
Find the source code at: https://github.com/slgobinath/uget-chrome-wrapper
