[uGet 2.0.8] Settings.json get corrupted on sudden shutdown

Postby ash1991 » Thu Oct 06, 2016 10:11 am

After a sudden shut down occurs(which is common in case you're using a laptop with faulty battery) uGet runs with corrupted window settings(toolbars aren't showing, the width and height of sections aren't correct, ...)

I figured out that it is the "Setting.json" file that is corrupted in this case. I have a backup of that and whenever this happens I replace it with the corrupted one and everything works well again.

Great.
I lost the column headings after power went off a few times.

Purged 2.0.8, renamed ~/uGet, then installed 2.0.9 and all is well again.

Funny thing is that the md5sum of ~/uGet/Setting.json in both are the same.
I also learned from the MX-Linux forum that apt-get does not remove configs in /user folder.
